THE DANGERS OF AQUA REGIA: When adding aqua regia to ore, there can be use a red gas given off; THIS RED GAS CAN KILL Sometimes the ore will bubble over, so watch it carefully. Use the aqua regia in an open area and it to the ore very slowly. Aqua regia cannot be boiled or simmered in the house or where it is not well ventilated.
In the process of gold recovery using the aqua regia method, after leaching gold from e-waste, we proceed to neutralize the solution using urea. Following neutralization, we add sodium metabisulfite (SMBS) to precipitate gold dust. However, I have encountered an issue: if an excess amount of SMBS is added to the solution, white precipitates form.

Refining gold, platinum and other precious metals requires expertise and great care. Here at Gold Refiners, part of Specialty Metals Smelters and Refiners, we extract and refine gold and precious metals with modern …
Welcome to the forum. hiring a consultant to teach you to refine isn't cheap, I happen to know a thing or two about that. The only folks who benefit from hiring a consultant are those who wish to refine commercially and have an established business to bring in the work.
The usual way to dissolve gold is with aqua regia (AR), a combination of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and nitric acid (HNO 3). The nitric acid acts as an oxidizer on the gold, causing it to lose an electron. The Cl from the HCl then combines with the oxidized gold. But many members either can't access nitric acid or it is prohibitively expensive.
I did a refine of gold, and i get silver chloride from aqua regia mixed with gold (like gold nugget) i estimate the gold around 20 grams. And silver must be around 400 grams, how can i be sure to recover all the gold from silver chloride ? I tried to put hydroxide sodium and sugar method (but i think my sugar was not adapted)
Rich gold ore may contain something in the range of one once of gold per ton. If you got of the gold out of a one pound sample, we are talking about less than 0.02 grams. That would be a piece of gold smaller than a pinhead and of a value of 86 cents - even at current high prices. I'd test it for gold with stannous chloride.
Hi, I have a few questions: 1) What is easiest way to get gold out from aqua regia solution..? What kind of method is best...I need instruction step by step.. 2) What is the propertion or ratio between the amount of the ore and the Aqua regia..?..(volume of …
Pete, yes HCl and bleach can be used to dissolve gold. So can HCl and H 2 O 2, HCl and chlorate, etc., but they are not poor man's AR.It's like calling a chicken sandwich a hamburger. You can eat them both and they'll both fill your …
Gold refining begins with sourcing raw materials that contain gold. Let's explore the different sources from which gold is obtained for the refining process. Gold Ore. Gold ore refers to the naturally occurring rock or mineral from which gold …
The rotating device is useful in the aqua regia refining process in presence of silver higher than 10%, reducing the chance of un-dissolved material and increasing the efficiency of the process. …
Please, advise the best method to precipitate a maximum percent of PGM from Aqua Regia solution. Now I work with rich sulfide ore concentrate with PGM at about 800 gr/ton (mainly Pt, Ag, Au). I have to use Aqua Regia (AR) 30% as a dissolver because of its high oxidizing potential compared to other methods like direct chlorination or cyanides.
This is my second drop in poor mans aqua regia sum gold dropped but it's still showing positive for gold in solution I put a lot of smb in hot water probably doubled aqua regia Attachments CDA80DA4-F3E1-4EA3-A6AB-1F207BA95017.jpeg
the way you would do with aqua regia, let it settle over night, decant and wash the gold powder with water. I always re-dissolve the power a second time, same process and normally will boil the in hydrochloric acid with water 50/50 to help remove any base metals.

I was curious about PM ( gold, silver) load in a given amount of aqua regia. Assuming that the aqua regia solution is the recommended 3:1 mix, how much gold or silver can a set quatity of AR hold? ... ie say you have 1 liter of AR solution being made up of reagent grade acids, what quantity of 999 fine gold and silver is it that can be held in ...

Gold ore is the raw material from which gold is extracted. It is found in various geological formations, often mixed with other minerals and metals. The first step in the refining process is to extract the gold from the ore. ... Refining with Aqua Regia. Aqua regia, a mixture of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid, is another method used to ...
I agree with you. No silver chloride is generated during the inquartation process. Salt is the cheapest reagent to drop silver from silver nitrate as Silver Chloride and if you have clean Iron or Steel washers (used for fastening nuts and bolts), the silver recovery as cement silver is faster than any other method thus saving cost on using copper to cement silver for …
