Turkish steel producer Tosyali Holding has announced that it has speeded up its investment aimed at transforming iron ore to steel in Angola. The steel producer stated that it will meet the steel requirements of the region, processing ten million mt per year of iron ore with its Angola project. The company aims to increase its investments in Africa with this project.

In addition to diamonds, Angola is rich in iron ore, phosphates, copper, gold and manganese. The country is home to 28 gold mining projects – 20 of which are in the prospecting phase – with average production capacity at each mine estimated at 4.5 kg per month.
Officially inaugurated in November 2023, the mine is projected to significantly enhance Angola's diamond production capacity. With an estimated 628 million carats of diamonds and a lifespan of 60 years, the Luele mine is expected to double the country's output, further cementing Angola's leadership in the diamond mining sector.
