I view your cap as a WW2 crusher because it "crushes" due to the thin visor. It's not just some standard officer's that someone took the wire band out of. Also, it's of dark gabardine wool, which is typical of a legit crusher - not the lighter fur felt found on non-crushers. I don't think a cap must have a backstrap to be a "crusher."
